Other Details to Note

Parking is abundant in this woodsy neighborhood on a peaceful dirt road. If you're planning a winter stay, bear in mind that Northern Michigan is Old Man Winter's homeland. Roads can get slippery and may go unplowed, and events could be rescheduled or canceled. We strongly recommend arriving with a well-prepared vehicle equipped with all-wheel drive or snow tires. Please note that there is a external security camera facing the parking area.

Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. No smoking inside the property. No pets. Hot Tub Rules: We are not liable for any accidents or injuries. - Do not use the hot tub if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs - No children under the age of 6 - No pets, pee, or procreation allowed in the tub - Consult a physician before you use if you are pregnant or have health concerns - Stay hydrated before getting into the hot tub - Shower before and after use - Limit time spent soaking (a max of 15-30 min is recommended) - No children under the age of 16 without adult supervision - After use, please put the cover and ensure all four (4) latches are securely fastened - Do not sit, stand, or lay on the hot tub cover - Be careful when getting out so you don't slip and fall This is a relax and chill spot, not a party spot. Please be respectful of the property and our neighbors.

The property backs up to a sprawling 200+ acre nature preserve with scenic hiking trails, and it's less than a 30-minute drive to Empire, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, and Traverse City.

10/10 would stay again! The interior of the A-frame was adorable ( I loved seeing the hidden “mouse apartment” ) Carrie’s suggestion to take a different route to the location was much appreciated. She was very help and communicated throughout!

We had a wonderful stay at Carrie’s A-Frame! From the warm and thoughtful automated messages to the well-appointed amenities, everything felt easy and welcoming from the start. The cabin itself is beautiful, cozy, and perfectly set up to relax and unwind. Add in the hot tub and the peaceful winter scenery, and it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Thank you for sharing such a special space with us, we’d absolutely stay again!

My wife and I had a great stay at the A-Frame cabin. A very quiet and relaxing setting, and everything you needed was in the cabin. There were some thoughtful considerations that I thought made this place a better stay than a lot of the AirBnbs I've stayed in. Things like a box fan in the bedroom and yoga sleep sound machines (for those of us who like white noise to sleep) There were plenty of dishes and cooking utensils that were well organized and easy to find, a hair dryer in the bathroom, all the light switches were labelled to make it easier to remember which switch did what. It was all of those little touches that made this a seamless and comfortable place to stay.

The A-Frame is beautifully finished and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and operable. We enjoyed the hot tub, which was already set up and easy to open/close. After a couple days of exploring, we spent one day just relaxing at the cabin. It was so comfortable, we had no reason to leave.

Although our A-Frame is just a short drive from Lake Ann, it maintains a secluded ambiance. Expect a picturesque journey across narrow bridges and along dirt roads to reach us.
